Single’s Inferno
Single’s Inferno is one of the most popular reality dating shows on Netflix. This South Korean show has three seasons so far. The show mixes the ideas of survival shows and fighting for one’s love interest on a deserted island called Inferno. On the island, participants are required to cook their own food, date and win challenges in order to escape the island. They are not allowed to discuss age or occupation.
Couples are formed through free dates and dates in Paradise. Paradise is the opposite of Inferno. It is a luxurious island where couples enjoy room services and fun activities. In Paradise, couples are allowed to discuss age and occupations. So Paradise is the ultimate goal for contestants. The final couples are matched in the last episode, so that they can leave Inferno together.
Single’s Inferno has been ranked among Netflix’s Global Top 10 list, and production of the fourth season has been confirmed. Some of the show’s hosts are Lee Da-hee, Cho Kyu-hyun, Hong Jin-kyung and Hanhae. Popular contestants from the show include Song Ji-a, Kang So-yeon, Cha Hyun-seung, Choi Hye-seon, Yun Ha-jeong, Yu Si-eun, Lee Gwan-hee and Park Min-kyu.
Terrace House
Terrace House is a popular Japanese reality television show. The show is about six strangers, three women and three men, who move in together to build friendships and relationships. It is actually not described as a dating show, but has been labeled as such by many viewers.
Terrace House has been a hit since its release. Some of the hosts of the show include Reina Triendl, Ryota Yamasato, Azusa Babazono and You (aka Yukiko Ehara). Some of the most memorable Terrace House cast members are Seina Shimabukuro, Guy Sato, Lauren Tsai, Tatsuya Uchihara, Shion Okamoto and Minori Nakada.
Love Is Blind: Japan
Love Is Blind: Japan is based on the original American version of the same name. Hosted by Yuka Itaya and Takashi Fujii, Love Is Blind: Japan follows a group of men and women, who are introduced to one another without being able to see what they look like.
The goal is to find out if people will fall in love without meeting each other face-to-face. The couples on the show are obligated to get engaged before they actually meet. There is so far only one season of the Japanese version of Love Is Blind.
Shanghai Share Life
Share Life, or Shanghai Share Life, revolves around the lives and social interactions of six guests living under the same roof. The program is hosted by G.E.M. (aka Deng Zi Qi), Wei Daxun, Li Dan, Chen Jian Bin, Yang Li and Jenny Zeng.
This show attempts to break free from the constraints of traditional “marriage and romance” topics by expanding its examination to a broader spectrum of young people in society. It introduces the concept of “shared living,” where young individuals with different life experiences, family backgrounds, and personal beliefs live together for 30 weeks. The show observes their daily lives and focuses on their confusion, reflections, struggles, and growth, while also attempting to address some of their common issues.
