Dolla’s official fandom name is iDolla. They released their first mini album and held their first showcase in February 2022. On November 13, 2021, Dolla won “Most Popular Female New Artist” at the 34th Bintang Popular Berita Harian Awards, making them the first all-female group to win the category.

The group’s name combines two concepts, doll meaning their feminine and girly side, and dolla meaning their strong and mature side. Their lyrics promote girl power which is liked by many fans. Some fans may compare Dolla with South Korean girl group Blackpink, who is incredibly popular worldwide. Sabronzo, in an interview, stated that their similarity with Blackpink is “coincidental”. She thinks that Dolla has their own unique identity, but still, they do look up to Blackpink for inspiration and think that it’s an honour to be compared to them.

Dolla recently appeared in the latest episode of the Chinese reality girl group survival show “Show It All”, which is produced by Mango TV. They performed “Damelo”, “Classic” and “Boss Up” on stage and were well-received by the Chinese audience. Some of the online comments were as followed:

“Please invite Dolla again. They are very friendly and respect the group’s collaborations and projects.”

“I’ve listened to a lot of Dolla’s songs. Although they need to add more of their own style (since their style has a strong K-pop flavor), I think they deserve to be seen by more people! They need a bigger stage! Keep it up!”

“As a Malaysian, I think Dolla is great! I’ll pay more attention to them in the future.”

“I didn’t expect Malaysia to have such a great girl group. They really need to go abroad to showcase and amaze everyone. It’s not enough to only promote in Malaysia.”

“Dolla’s stage presence is really amazing, everyone stands out!”

“Hope Dolla will continue to move towards bigger stages.”

“One episode, three Dolla stages, it’s really awesome. Every one of them looks so good.”

“Dolla is awesome! Thanks to this show, I know that Malaysia has such an excellent girl group. I used to think they were a South Korean group.”

As of today, Dolla has 327K YouTube subcribers, 142K Instagram followers, 27K Facebook followers, and 9K X (Twitter) followers.
